Tastefully Timeless
Jacksons Rd, Fendalton
One of the most distinctive features of this stately weatherboard home is the bell-shaped upper storey which requires considerable skill to achieve. The timber shingles also showcase the craftsmanship more commonly associated with a bygone era.
Although not evident now, a particular challenge of this rebuild was the execution of the extremely deep 18 metre pile foundations specified by the engineer.
This traditional-styled home is flanked on each end by a robust chimney and sits proudly adjacent to a sizeable swimming pool.
The house contains three bedrooms, two bathrooms and two living spaces, with high ceilings and wide panelled hallways adding a sense of space and grandeur to the interior. Careful attention to detail is apparent everywhere, from the oak ceiling beams to the detailed timber windows. The result is an aesthetically pleasing tribute to the original home that is sure to stand the test of time.
